TORO RIVER Class ¾ “Our most popular tour”
The northern zones most popular river offers explosive class III/IV whitewater. Fed by waters from the Poas Volcano, the TORO River winds 12 Km through dramatic scenery and heart pumping excitement. Set deep in the Costa Rican rain forests and fed by waters from the Poas volcano, the Toro river winds 12 Km (about 8 miles) through the canyon filled with dramatic scenery and heart pumping excitement. The Toro River offers some of Costa Rica ’s best white water with big waves, technical rapids and continuous whitewater. This trip is full of nonstop class 3 and 4 rapids that will challenge even our most experienced guests. (Dry season from December till March typically is more of a class 3 river because of lower water levels)
Our journey begins with a 1 hr scenic drive through the Eastern portion of central Costa Rica through the beautiful pineapple, papaya and yucca fields with Volcano Arenal set in the backdrop. Once we reach our destination, our trained/skilled guides will review the rules and safety guidelines for the river. Then we will take the PLUNGE and head down river. We will enjoy the spectacular scenery and a thrilling ride. Halfway through our journey we will “re-fuel” on the river bank and enjoy some delicious tropical fruit while soaking in the tropical surroundings. Add post river drinks and snacks, a hearty lunch and friendly guides and you’ve got an adventure you are sure to remember.(We recommend the Toro river for those looking for adventure who are between the ages 12 and 60)

Sarapiqui River – Class 2 and 3
This scenic tropical river offers an exciting day of rafting. The crystal clear waters of the Sarapiqui are full of action packed class 2 and 3 rapids. This river is perfect for all levels of rafting from experts to first timers and families.
Our journey starts with a 1 hr, 20 min scenic drive through the Eastern portion of central Costa Rica. We will travel through the beautiful pineapple, papaya and yucca fields with Volcano Arenal set in the backdrop. After a short safety briefing with our local professional guides we head down river. With the lush rainforest as our backdrop you can expect 14 Kilometers (about 10 miles) of unforgettable action and breathtaking nature. We stop midway to “re-fuel” with refreshing tropical fruits. Our adventure ends with cold drinks followed by a well deserved Costa Rican typical lunch. Come with us and Ride the RIVER wave!

1/2 Day Rafting - Balsa River Class 2/3
This popular 1/2 day trip is great for families and beginners looking for intermediate action. Enjoy 2 hours of fantasti c white water action. Our trips include post river drinks, hearty lunch and FUN! Your white water rafting experience starts with a pickup from your hotel reception. After meeting with your river guide we will drive 30 minutes to the put in where the fun begins! You guides explain the safety procedures and safety equipment before embarking down the river. Enjoy up to 2 exhilarating hours of white water action with your guide. Once at the San Carlos bridge we will enjoy a swim and a cold Costa Rican style”Michealda” beer (or soda) followed by a hearty Costa Rican lunch.
